Freedom & Joy

Intentionally spending time in the secret place with the Holy Spirit and scripture is crucial to live a life of freedom because we are directly pointed towards intimately encountering the creator of true Freedom and Rest who shares Himself in us.

Our whole thought life and, therefore, our actions are strongly affected and controlled by the understanding of who we are and our place in this giant world that we live in. Our beloved identity in Jesus Christ is the truth of our existence, and we are here on earth commissioned to be just like Him everywhere that we go!

We are allowed to experience total acceptance in the Beloved

If we want to stop being led by the enemy's constant lies of rejection, bitterness, hopelessness and condemnation, the answer is quite simple: we just need to experientially understand that we are loved, accepted, cared for, pure, blameless, forgiven, dearly valued, made whole, righteous (right standing before God), and we have all of the fruits of the Spirit. Woo! We are actually squeaky clean! As we abide in God — and Him in us — we get to experience the fruits of His Spirit in us (Galatians 5: 22-23); we feel loved, joyful, rested, patient, friendly, filled with goodness, faithful, gentle and self-controlled.

Be encouraged as you read these scriptures to not only set your mind on these things, but also to allow time for Holy Spirit to encounter you with His tangible reality in which all of these things are found. If you have time while reading this now would be a great opportunity to take a minute to stop reading and listen to God, to experience Him for yourself in your heart and in your mind.

The more we come to understand our reality in Christ the more the enemy's everyday lies just sound funny. They are so irrelevant! We are allowed to experience total acceptance in the Beloved and there is no condemnation in Christ.

Scripture tells us to set our mind on things above for a reason (Colossians 3:2). God loves us and He wants us to be free!

His heart of Love and affection towards us is the most beautiful thing you will ever experience and it is from there that we are able to love ourselves and others.
